Zombie Shelter

I won a giveaway for a Zombie Shelter sign, zombie stickers and buttons from Zombies & Toys. I entered a giveaway on their blog around Halloween and as a fan of the genre, was so excited to win. I put the sign above my studio door just for fun. Maybe someday I should paint a zombie horse for Halloween. That would be weird, wouldn't it?

I was lurking around the old St. James Episcopal cemetery Lancaster, PA last week and found three intriguing graves. I thought it was nice that someone put a pumpkin on this one belonging to a 3 year old, poor thing. The epitaph was really neat too.

I really enjoy finding old gravestones with skulls or winged children. I got lucky here finding one of each! The skull with the hourglass is one of my favorites.

  5. I saw you follow my blog...I had ventured over here before I think...I have an old graveyard adjoining my farm, now that snake season is over I will have to venture in there and see what is lurking!

  6. Congrats on winning! I love looking in old graves too. I hike a lot, and there's this one cemetery right in the middle of this trail in VA. It's pretty creepy...you're trekking along in the woods, come around a bend, and then there in the middle of nowhere is this iron fenced in cemetery with half sunken graves...

  8. Oh...to be living where there are such old tombstones and cemeteries! We're lucky to find anything pre-1900 here.

Funny zombie stuff. My kids would love it!

  9. Thanks for coming over to my blog! How weird! I am from Pa, my sis lives in Lancaster (on Blue Rock Rd, so out in farmland)and I adore Halloween! My son who is almost 14 is a Halloween addict. Seriously. He is already planning how he will decorate for next year. I too love old cemetaries and love to go and take pics. I have some great photos from an old one (even a sea captain from the 1800's) we found near my friend's beach house down on the Texas coast!! Not so sure about a zombie horse...ugh. :)
